Bien que les temp\u00e9ratures moyennes mondiales aient temporairement baiss\u00e9 l\u2019an dernier, 2021 reste l\u2019une des sept ann\u00e9es les plus chaudes jamais enregistr\u00e9es. Les sept derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es font toutes partie de ce funeste classement, selon le bilan d\u00e9finitif de l\u2019Organisation m\u00e9t\u00e9orologique mondiale (OMM), publi\u00e9 mercredi 19 janvier. Le r\u00e9chauffement de la plan\u00e8te devrait se poursuivre, avertit l\u2019agence onusienne, en raison des niveaux record de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre pr\u00e9sents dans l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re, dus aux activit\u00e9s humaines et en particulier \u00e0 la combustion d\u2019\u00e9nergies fossiles (charbon, p\u00e9trole et gaz).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cette situation est d\u2019autant plus exceptionnelle que 2021 a \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9e par deux \u00e9pisodes de La Ni\u00f1a, un refroidissement des eaux de surface dans le centre et l\u2019est du Pacifique \u00e9quatorial qui diminue la temp\u00e9rature globale de la plan\u00e8te. \u00ab L\u2019ann\u00e9e 2021 a \u00e9t\u00e9 plus chaude que celles qui ont subi l\u2019influence de La Ni\u00f1a dans un pass\u00e9 r\u00e9cent \u00bb, indique le secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l\u2019OMM, Petteri Taalas, en pr\u00e9cisant que le r\u00e9chauffement de long terme d\u2019origine humaine est d\u00e9sormais \u00ab bien plus marqu\u00e9 \u00bb que la variabilit\u00e9 caus\u00e9e par des facteurs climatiques naturels.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En 2021, la temp\u00e9rature moyenne sur la plan\u00e8te \u00e9tait sup\u00e9rieure d\u2019environ 1,1 0C \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque pr\u00e9industrielle (1850-1900). Cette valeur d\u00e9passe de 1 0C les niveaux pr\u00e9industriels pour la septi\u00e8me ann\u00e9e cons\u00e9cutive.
